Stories for every child, in every language
Storyhouse was founded on a single belief: every child deserves to read — and hear — stories in their own language. We work with translators, illustrators, voice actors, and sound designers from within communities to make that possible.
Why we exist
Language is the first gift we give a child
When children read stories in their mother tongue, something profound happens. They don’t just learn — they belong. They see themselves in the characters, hear the rhythms of their community, and carry their culture forward.
Storyhouse changes that. We partner with translators, illustrators, voice actors, and sound designers from within communities to bring stories to life — in the languages children actually speak at home.
What we believe
Our values
Our translators and illustrators come from the communities they serve. They understand cultural nuances that no algorithm can replicate.
Every story is reviewed for cultural accuracy, language quality, and age-appropriateness. We'd rather publish one perfect story than ten mediocre ones.
Translators, illustrators, voice actors, and sound designers are credited on every story. Their contribution is central — not a footnote.
Every story on Storyhouse is free, forever. No paywalls. No subscriptions. A child in a refugee camp has the same access as anyone else.
We support text, illustrations, voice narration, and full video — because different children learn in different ways.
MM Localize isn't just content creation — it's a platform for local talent to build portfolios, earn recognition, and grow professionally.
